BACKGROUND AND INTERESTS

I’m passionate about helping people build healthy and empowering relationships with themselves and others.
My work is rooted in deep interests including human sexuality, LGBTQIA+ identities, healthy relationship dynamics, mindfulness, neuropsychology, and personal growth. I also have experience supporting individuals with a religious background as they process what parts of that feel authentic to their own spirituality, and those parts that were indoctrinated by their family of origin.
In addition to my 15+ years experience as a psychotherapist, I spent almost a decade as a secondary math and special education teacher/ department chair in alternative high schools. I also served as an educational coordinator (director) of a residential school for children in state custody. These roles taught me how vital empathy, resilience, and stability are in someone's mental health and well-being.
As a parent of four children in different stages of life, I also understand the real-life challenges and joys of helping them become confident, self-reliant adults. Supporting parents is close to my heart. We all want to raise kids who feel secure and supported, and I’m here to help you find your own way through the ups and downs of parenting.
THERAPY APPROACH
I believe that growth begins with curiosity and self-compassion rather than forcing ourselves to be different. My approach to therapy is collaborative, relational, and rooted in the belief that every person carries a unique story. Together, we'll explore the experiences, relationships, and patterns that have shaped your life, helping you better understand yourself and create meaningful change.
Therapy is not about becoming someone else. It is about reconnecting with the parts of yourself that may have been buried beneath perfectionism, self-doubt, fear, or shame. My role is to provide a supportive space where you can grow, heal, and move toward a life that feels more authentic and aligned with who you are.

INCLUSIVE SEX AND RELATIONSHIP THERAPY
My relationship clients commit to the hard work of being honest with themselves and their partners. They learn practical strategies to improve communication, rebuild trust, and create deeper intimacy. Balancing each individual’s needs alongside the needs of the relationship is foundational. This balance invites teamwork and mutual respect into their shared lives.
Integrating sex and relationship therapy offers a holistic approach to healing connection. I strive to create a safe space where all voices are heard and respected throughout the journey.

THERAPY STYLE
My style is down to earth, honest, and non-judgmental, keeping it real to promote growth in you and your relationships. While I’m highly empathic and caring, I’m also not an echo chamber that just tells you what you want to hear. I gently encourage my clients to identify the ways that they may be getting in the way of achieving their goals and dreams. Becoming more authentic leads to a more fulfilling life.
