NOS COUNSELING | COLORADO
Take a look at the information below to get a sense of how I work and answer any questions you might have concerning my availability, rates, methods and link to telehealth portal for existing clients.
Once we've decided to work together, I'll send you intake paperwork to complete through the client portal before our first session.
For Individual Therapy
Our first couple of sessions is an opportunity for me to get to know you and better understand what brings you to therapy. We'll discuss your personal history, including family relationships, educational experiences, significant life events, relationship and sexual experiences, spirituality or religious influences, and any concerns you'd like to address. Together, we'll identify goals that will help guide our work moving forward.
For Couples and Polycules
I use a 2-1-2 model for relationship therapy. We begin with an initial session together, followed by one individual session with each partner. These individual sessions help me better understand each person's background, family dynamics, relationship history, values, and perspective on the concerns bringing you to therapy.
After each individual session is completed, we will all return to meeting together and begin the ongoing work of strengthening communication, deepening understanding, and addressing the challenges within your relationship(s).
Every individual, couple, and relationship is unique, so the length of therapy varies depending on your goals and the concerns you're addressing. Many clients attend therapy for 6–12 months, though some may benefit from shorter-term support while others choose to work together for a longer period.
I generally recommend weekly or every-other-week sessions during the active phase of therapy. Consistency helps build momentum, strengthen the therapeutic relationship, and support meaningful progress.
As goals are met and changes become more established, we may transition to sessions every 4–6 weeks for a period of maintenance and continued support. Some clients also choose to remain in ongoing therapy as a space to process life events, relationships, and personal growth as they unfold.
Even after therapy has ended, you're always welcome to return. Many clients schedule occasional "tune-up" sessions when new challenges arise or significant life changes occur. In fact, I've had clients return for support several years after completing therapy.
I am available Monday - Thursday, 10:00 am - 7:00 pm; closed Fridays and weekends.
I charge $190 for 50-minute individual sessions and $270 for 80-minute sessions for individuals, couples and polycules. Relationship therapy sessions are scheduled for 80 minutes to allow adequate time for each partner to be heard and for meaningful therapeutic work to take place.
No, I do not accept insurance or bill insurance companies directly. However, I can provide a monthly superbill that you may submit to your insurance company for possible out-of-network reimbursement. Because coverage varies widely, I encourage you to contact your insurance provider directly to learn about your specific mental health benefits.
Please note that most insurance plans do not cover couples or relationship therapy. Because relationship therapy focuses on the relationship rather than an individual mental health condition, I cannot provide a diagnosis solely for the purpose of obtaining insurance reimbursement for couples counseling.
I am also unable to provide services to clients who are using Medicaid benefits.
To respect both your time and the time of other clients, I require at least 48 hours' notice for appointment cancellations or rescheduling. When you schedule an appointment, that time is reserved specifically for you. Cancellations made with less than 48 hours' notice, as well as missed appointments, will be charged the full session fee, as it is often difficult to fill that appointment time on short notice.
To ensure your cancellation is received and processed promptly, all cancellations and rescheduling requests must be made through the client portal. Please do not submit cancellation requests by email or text message, as I may not receive them in time.

Yes, I only provide virtual telehealth sessions for clients who live in Colorado. I can see clients throughout the state of Colorado from the comfort of your home or the convenience of your office. You can grab a cup of tea and settle into a familiar spot as we explore the things you want to talk about in therapy.
In couples’ work, it's still important to be in the same shared space where you can fully read each other's body language and emotional expressions; please situate yourselves by sitting and facing one another in front of one stabilized computer screen or device when possible.
Under federal law, healthcare providers are required to provide a Good Faith Estimate to clients who do not have insurance or who choose not to use their insurance benefits. A Good Faith Estimate outlines the expected cost of services and provides an estimate of therapy fees and appointment frequency for up to 12 months.
You have the right to request a Good Faith Estimate before beginning services or at any time during treatment. If you receive a bill that is at least $400 higher than the amount listed on your Good Faith Estimate, you have the right to dispute the charges with the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS).
If you choose to use the dispute resolution process, you must initiate it within 120 calendar days of receiving the original bill. For more information about your rights under the No Surprises Act, visit www.cms.gov/nosurprises.
I use SimplePractice, a secure practice management platform that allows existing clients to conveniently manage their care in one place. Through the client portal, you can schedule and manage appointments, attend telehealth sessions, complete and submit paperwork, securely message your therapist, and make payments using debit cards, credit cards, FSA cards, or HSA cards.
Current clients can access their client portal at any time using the link below.
