"I have worked with Kaia for almost eleven years, and she is the therapist I had given up on ever finding. Before her, I had the experience a lot of us probably know too well. I would bring up my kinks and the therapist would smile and nod, but I could feel it, they did not know how to handle it, and underneath the politeness they were uncomfortable.
So I learned to keep those parts hidden, even in the one room where I was supposed to be able to bring everything.
Kaia was different from the first. There was no flinching, no pretending to accept, just real, actual acceptance. She knows this terrain. My identity and my kinks were not things she tolerated, they were things she could meet me in, with real understanding and warmth. For the first time, opening up did not feel risky or misunderstood. It felt welcome. That changes everything about what her therapy did for me, because I stopped “managing” the therapist and started doing the work.
Her help has not been only with me as an individual, but also helping me navigate my relationship with my primary partner. Kaia fully understood our relationship including its D/s dynamic with the same care and openness she brings to everything else. She helped me build something strong and honest, and she helped me navigate the trickier parts of our relationship with empathy and deep understanding.
I am AuDHD (autistic and ADHD) and I have bipolar disorder; she gets how my mind works versus just knowing the textbook version of it. Between that and the safety she built, these eleven years have truly changed my life. The confusion, guilt and shame I carried, the parts I was sure I would be judged for, she helped me understand all of it and set much of it down.
I recommend her without hesitation to anyone who is LGBTQIA+, kink-aware, neurodivergent, or simply carrying things they have never been able to say out loud, whether they come on their own or with a partner. Eleven years is my answer to whether she is worth it." -S.
"I have had the privilege of working with Kaia during specific times of need and across different periods of my life. Her clear but kind approach to therapy has been incredibly beneficial for me as a (proudly) high intensity woman. She consistently balances the space for me to verbally process while also holding me accountable and focused on growth, not rumination. I cannot recommend her highly enough and am grateful for the continued time working together." -C.
"I have been seeing Kaia regularly for many years. During that time we've discussed childhood trauma, grief, having compassion for myself, and so, so, much more. With her help, I have tackled issues and fears I had previously not even been able to allow myself to think about. Every session I feel respected and supported. She is compassionate and knowledgeable and I genuinely look forward to each of our sessions even if I know we might be covering uncomfortable territory." -L.
"Working with Kaia has been profoundly beneficial for me. Her kindness, empathy, and gentle directness have supported me through some of my hardest and most stressful moments. She brings a compassionate, steady presence that has helped me process traumatic experiences with clarity and care. Through our work together, I've developed meaningful skills and strategies that allow me to understand and manage my emotions in a healthy, grounded way." -M.
"I've been working with Kaia consistently for 10 years, and I mean it when I say that I don't know where I would be without her. Her knowledge, guidance, and compassion have often pulled me out of the hardest places I've had to face. I have been totally seen and heard in every interaction, and I feel very secure in her presence.
Kaia arms me with the tools I use every day to live a healthier life, in a way that makes sense for me. When I am feeling broken and lost, I know she is there to support me.
Kaia is a stalwart and trustworthy guide, and with her compassionate approach, I have grown into a much happier and healthier person." -M.
Every person's experience of therapy is unique. If you're wondering whether working together might be a good fit, I'd be happy to talk with you during a brief consultation.
