You don't have to leave parts of yourself at the door
Kink-Affirming Therapy
Whether kink has been part of your life for years or you're just beginning to explore it, therapy should begin with curiosity—not assumptions.
From there, we'll focus on what matters most to you—whether that's relationships, sexuality, identity, trauma, anxiety, or feeling more at home in yourself.
Online therapy for individuals, couples, and polycules throughout Colorado.
What draws someone to kink—and what they find meaningful about it— is deeply individual.
People engage in kink for many different reasons. Understanding those reasons is where our work begins.
For some, it's about trust, vulnerability, surrender, power, service, pleasure, or self-expression. It can also be about how you experience power exchange through physical sensations and control.
The same dynamic can mean something completely different from one person to the next.
The conversation isn't just about the dynamic itself. It's about what that dynamic means to you and how it fits into your relationships, your identity, and your life.
Understanding your relationship to kink
One of the things I find most meaningful about this work is exploring the psychology behind kink—not just the practices themselves.
If dominance and submission are meaningful parts of your life, what do they make possible for you?
How do they influence the way you relate to yourself, your partners, and intimacy?
How do you begin to separate your own desires from the expectations you've inherited about power, gender, and sexuality?
Sometimes we're exploring why a particular dynamic feels meaningful, or talking about how power exchange strengthens trust and connection. Sometimes we're helping you understand why certain experiences resonate so deeply while others don't.
There isn't one "right" way to experience kink. Power exchange isn't always just about roles or scenes. It's built on trust, communication, negotiation, and a shared understanding of expectations. Together, we can explore the psychological meaning of these dynamics while developing the skills needed to create experiences that feel authentic, connected, and intentional.
What we might explore together
Every person's experience with kink is different, and our conversations reflect that.
Together, we might explore:
-
Exploring power exchange dynamics grounded in communication, consent, and trust.
-
Navigating conversations when partners don't share the same interests or level of experience.
-
Exploring what feels authentic to you, whether you're certain of your identity or still figuring it out.
-
Negotiating boundaries, agreements, and expectations that feel intentional and sustainable.
-
Discussing roles, rituals, protocols and responsibilities that may be established in a D/s or M/s relationship.
-
Rebuilding trust after boundaries or agreements have been broken.
-
Deciding who you want to be "out" to and how to navigate privacy with family, friends, or colleagues.
-
Integrating kink into an existing relationship or exploring it for the first time.
-
Disentangling long-term kink relationship with thought and care.
No two people come to therapy with the same questions. My role is to help you better understand yourself and create BDSM dynamics that align with your values.
You don't have to know exactly where you fit
Some people already identify as part of the kink community in Denver and surrounding communities. Others are curious about fantasies they've never shared. Some are exploring power exchange within a long-term relationship.
Others are simply wondering whether kink is something they'd like to explore.
You don't have to arrive with certainty.
My approach
Whether kink has been part of your life for years or you're just beginning to explore it, I'm interested in learning what it means to you, how it fits into your relationships, and how it shapes the way you experience trust, intimacy, and connection.
Together, we'll approach your experiences with curiosity, ask thoughtful questions, and make sense of the parts of your life that matter most to you.
